Description of the Drawing
The braille drawing shows a quaver / eighth note, as it is used in music notation for sighted people. An individual quaver / eighths note consists of three elements: note head, stem, and flag. The head of the quaver / eighth note is filled, and thus, it is also filled in with dots in the braille drawing. The flag is on the upper right of the stem. By the way, you can easily turn the quaver / eighth note into a crotchet / quarter note just by removing the flag. To do this, just leave out the last braille cell in lines 1 to 3.
This braille drawing was originally created for the non-profit organisation einfach machbar e. V. during the project “Blind Children Draw Pictures – Drawing with Letters” financed by the charity Aktion Mensch.
